I don't think you can get more minimal than that for around 16 pages. I could see this being able to hold up for maybe 3 sessions but not go on any longer than that. I wrote most of this when the minimalism jam was first announced but have been nursing it when I finished all the stuff I was actually interested in.

I think cards have a lot to offer in terms of resource management in the moment. I think mech rpgs are very interested in the character sheet as the primary way to track a mech's body and all that it carries, but I think that having the cards in your hand, and the cards that you take out of a common pool, might shake out a new more intrusive feeling. In addition to this, I hope that the simplified critical hits rules inspired by SbtR's fallout rules (thought there is something similar in Liminal Horror), tie in nicely to the fact that cards come with values AND suits. Thankfully, Hard Mode for the  Minimalist TTRPG Jam specifies that I was free to pull inspiration as long as I didn't require using another SRD. I couldn't resist the challenge, so enjoy reading 52nd Aces!
